Active Citizen Framework
The JCI Active Citizen Framework is a methodology for running sustainable, needs-based projects that create measurable results in communities. The process start with assessing local needs, engaging partners to share resources and strenghts, conducting action-oriented projects and finally monitoring and evaluating results to ensure tangible, effective positive impact.
JCI members use the three stages of community development, health and wellness, education and economic empowerment and sustainability to determine local needs, form solutions and take action. The JCI Active Citizen Framework empowers young people to create impact for a better world.
JCI Baguio 2021 Projects:
Recycling for Sustainable Livelihood
JCI Baguio in partnership with Brgy Lopez Jaena and Bangads Philippines, we provided a truck of used clothes that will be converted to raw materials for floor mats and other rags to be processed by the womens group in Brgy Lopez Jaena’s sustainable livelihood to women during the pandemic.
Empowering the Indigent Workers
JCI Baguio invited indigents to help in cleaning and remodeling the JCI Baguio Clubhouse in exchange for short livelihood. We also gave a talk and recommendation options for other opportunities for sustainable livelihood. We also provided some food and snack during the event.
Effective Leadership & Project Planning
JCI Baguio and DOH conducted an HIV awareness campaign in City Travel Hotel giving talks about HIV, Safe Sex and Health Care seminar to people that registered that are mostly youth. We also conducted on site testings for those who want to be tested for HIV.
Fantastic Female Felicities - Juana Laban sa Pandemya
JCI Baguio joined the judging panel for the cooking and livelihood contest for women empowered at Brgy Lopez Jaena, Baguio City. We also provided cash prices and appliances to winners together with providing used clothes to add to raw materials for their livelihood program.
HIV Awareness and Testing Campaign

Safer Than Ever - Condom Distribution
JCI Baguio together with the DOH spear headed the provision of safe usable responsible sex tools like condoms and lubricants to promote safe sex and HIV awareness to the public and socially active establishments around Baguio City.
Project JUSTICE - Womens Month for Womens Correctional
Celebrating the womens month, JCI Baguio wanted to provide Mental Health, Safe Sex and Overall Holistic Health Webinar to our women inmates both in the City of Baguio and La Trinidad Benguet. We provided food and snack treats during the event.
Beyond Prison Walls - Lugaw is Essential
Beyond Prison Walls is one of the Sustainable programs being pushed by the UN to attend to the needs of our inmates in the correctional facilities. We provided a webinar streamed online focusing on Mental Health Awareness and health webinar. We also made sure to provide food treats during the event.

JCI Week Regional Opportunity to Impact and Recruitment talk with Regional Vice President Shaine Marquez. Inspiring new members to be an active citizens not only within Luzon but in the entire Nation as well.

Second part of the sustainable living & livelihood for women’s group in Baranggay Lopez Jaena. Providing used clothes for recycling and provide raw materials for rags, and other products they can sell.
Signing of MOA for JCI Marker w/ Upper Gen. Luna
JCI Baguio and Baranggay Upper General Luna partnered up to commission JCI Baguio to clean up their marker and in exchange we can errect a JCI marker on the island.
JCI Tarlac X JCI Baguio Twinning
JCI Baguio and JCI Tarlac went into agreement in partnering in terms of trainings, projects and other events that JCI Baguio and JCI Tarlac have done and will be doing in the future.
Our Leadership Program is Designed to Teach Young Active Citizens to lead projects for sustainable solutions for the community
Our goal is to build a network of young active citizens that are passionate in identifying issues and problems in the community that other sectors both private and government are not handling. We are striving to genuinely provide a sustainable solution for these issues to help the community locally that can spread out on a regional, national and international change.
